Hospitals & Institutions (H&I) is the part of Alcoholics Anonymous service work that carries the message of recovery to people who can’t get to an outside meeting on their own — patients in hospitals, residents of treatment centers, and people who are incarcerated. H&I volunteers bring meetings directly into these facilities so that anyone who wants to stop drinking has a chance to hear from someone who has been there.
Volunteering with H&I is a meaningful form of service for AA members who meet certain sobriety requirements. New volunteers attend a short orientation before joining a panel, and many find that carrying the message inside these institutions strengthens their own recovery as much as it helps the people they meet.
Our monthly Committee Business Meeting is held on the 1st Sunday of every month at:
The Buck
321 N. Aviador St., Suite 111
Camarillo, CA 93010
